Terms of service

Using immigrationphoto.com means agreeing to these terms. They are short because the service is simple.

The service

Immigration Photo publishes US passport, visa and USCIS photo requirements quoted from official sources, and provides a free browser tool that checks a photo against those published rules and can produce a corrected version. The free tool requires no account and processes photos on your device.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every requirement on this site is quoted from an official source with the date it was checked, and we correct errors with priority. But requirements change, and no tool can guarantee acceptance: final acceptance of any photo is at the discretion of the government agency processing your application. A passing check here means your file matches the figures the agency published as of the check date, nothing more. Confirm against the official instructions for your form before you file. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

Not a government site

Immigration Photo is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of State, USCIS, or any government agency, and it charges nothing the government requires you to pay. Filing fees, application fees and appointments are between you and the agency.

Your photos stay yours

You keep all rights to photos you process with the tool. Because processing happens in your browser, we never receive them. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you process.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, misrepresent identity, or probe, overload or attack the service. The site's content may not be scraped and republished as a competing dataset; quoting with attribution is welcome.

Paid features and refunds

When paid features launch, the price is shown before you pay, and payments are processed by Dodo Payments. If a paid feature fails to deliver what it promised, email [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. A government rejecting your application for reasons unrelated to the photo file is not covered, because it is not something a photo tool controls.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for the free tool is zero.

Changes to these terms appear on this page with a new effective date. Questions go to the contact page.
